    Continuing Medical Education Programme, a marathon of about 30 lectures in a span of 2 weeks in very popular.

    Sub-chapter of College of General Practitioners & IMA Academy of Medical Specialities are also active and arange scientifiic programmes.

  • Book Bank Activities
  • A Book Bank for students studying in Govt. Medical College, Vadodara, and for the members & their children who take up medicine as their vocation.

  • Cultural Activities
  • Cultural Activities to foster brotherhood amongst members & their families. Sharadotsav, Christmas celebrations, talent evening, Children’s Day celebrations are few examples.

  • Sports Activities
  • IMA Vadodara organises Sports week (Table Tennis, Chess, Badminton, Carrom Tournaments) and Cricket tournament every year.

  • Benevolent Fund
  • A member can avail the benefits of the IMA Benevolent Fund (Local as well as from Head Quarters) if she/he has a continous membership of not less than five years or has joined the Association within the first two years of his/her becoming eligible for the membership.

  • Fiscal and related matters
  • Information on curricular, Fiscal & General Matters pertaining to Medical Practice are given to the members.

  • Fraternity Schemes
  • Various schemes in operation at the State & National level viz, Social Security Scheme, Health Scheme, National Social Security Scheme, Professional Protection Scheme.

  • News letter
  • Constant communication through a monthly Newsletter which gives a lot of information to the members. “Classified” column for the benefit of our members is getting very popular amongst the members.

  • Government recognized Courses
  • To uplift the weaker of women, IMA Vadodara, runs a Hospital Attendant’s Course for girls, preparing them to be of help at the clinics of our members. This Course is in collaboration with Gujarat Mahila Arthick Vikas Nigam Ltd.

    DMLT (Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology) Course for science students is being run by IMA Vadodara which is recognized by Government of India.

  • AIDS Day
  • World Aids Day is observed on 1st December every year by arranging workshop & a rally by doctors in collaboration with other NGOS.

  • Pulse Polio Campaign
  • We actively participate in the Pulse Polio Campaing of the Government.

  • Social Welfare Programme
  • To avoid the difficulties to the people during Diwali period. IMA VAdodara prepares a list of its members whose services are available during this time. The list being sent to all the public places, medical stores, Municipal Corporation and members of District Panchayat.

  • WHO Day
  • Every year WHO day is being observed in collaboration with KGP Children Hospital.

  • Community Projects
  • IMA Vadodara arranges various health checkup camps for the needy people.
    IMA Vadodara also arranges Blood Donation Camps.
    IMA VAdodara conducts tree plantation activity at the hands of Past President IMA GSB.

  • Doctors Day
  • 1st July, the Doctors Day is observed by felicitating our senior colleagues & leaders in profession for their dedication to the Association, the Medical Fraternity and Community at large.

  • IMA Vadodara Co-op. Credit Society Ltd.
  • This is our new venture. This will be helpful to cater to the financial needs of the members & the medical profession as a whole.

  • Aao Gaon Chale
    "Let's give Health to every Indian"
    Indian Medical Association has taken up a project at National Level "Aao Gaon Chalen" - Let's go to the village. With this project, the Association's aim is to provide health related services to the people living in villages all over India. Indian Medical Association, Vadodara branch has formed a committee to implement the project with Dr. Chetan N. Patel as Co-ordiantor and Dr. Manubahi K. Contractor, dr. V. K. Shah and Dr. I. C. Patel as members.  Our branch has adopted village PUNIAD, Ta. Dabhoi, Dist. Vadodara, under this village Health Development Project. Puniad is a small village, off. Bamangam about 30 kms from Vadodara. Thouhgh just 3 kms away from National Highway No. 8 the 200 off villagers of Puniad do not have a single doctor.
    1.  On 15th October 06, Anaemia Detection Camp was organized and medicine were distributed.
    2.  On Sunday, 17th Dec. '06, we held a medical camp with emphasis on orthopaedic problems   
         such as backache, joint pains & osteoporosis.
    3.  On 18th February 07, a paediatric & Gen. Surgery Camp was organized.
    4.  On 18th March 07, marking 2 years of adoption of village PUNIAD, multispeciality diagnostic   
         camp  was organized. Our own members of difference specialtiy branch randered theri services.
    5.  On 20 May 2007, at at camp for Skin & Opthalmai 187 patients were examined, 50 patients were
         given spectacles.
    6.  Apart from above special camps we are visiting to give medical services to villagers every month.

 

  • Shopping & Travel Bonanza
    In the month eof April 2005, Shopping & Travel Bonanza was launched by IMA Vadodara.
    A list of establishment is available with our IMA Vadodara office.
    The discount is available to IMA Vadodara Members on presenting ID card or a letter from our IMA office.

colaborative Scientific programmes.
